WNL Season XI Qualifiers

Our Season XI Qualifiers were held on January 2nd/4th and February 21st/22nd. These were both fantastic events and we've been thrilled to see new competitors as well as many familiar faces. It's encouraging and exciting to see the standard of competing increase as our regular ninjas work super hard in training, and also to see new ninjas to True Function Ninja Training Ground giving it their all in their first competition here. Well done everyone.

3 competitors have qualified per division at each qualifier, for the next competition here on April 11th/12th here at TFNTG. Those who are qualified can sign up now until April 8th.

What is the World Ninja League?

The World Ninja League is the premier obstacle league of one of the world’s fastest-growing sports in the world. The goal of the WNL is to develop the sport from the recreational level to the professional. Their global competition series gives athletes around the world the opportunity to compete in all levels of ninja competition. Every year thousands of athletes compete around the globe in hopes of becoming the next Ninja World Champion.

True Function Ninja Training Ground is proud to be hosting one of Europe's WNL Qualifier competitions this season. This event will qualify the top finishers to Nationals in May.

For many, this qualifier will be your first ninja competition, any ninja athlete will tell you that stepping up onto any starting block is no easy obstacle itself! This qualifier is a great way to practice performing under pressure, akin to a bigger stage like Worlds!

This Qualifier will see our ninja family come together! Hang out with your friends and teammates, cheer each other on, and have a great time!

Eligibility

Everyone is eligible to compete in our WNL Qualifier, we can't wait to see you there.

The top three in each qualifier are eligible to compete in the Nationals. ONLY SIGN UP TO THE NATIONAL COMPETITION IF YOU HAVE QUALIFIED TO DO SO.

Rules Format/Seeding

Challenge Course

Qualifiers follow Challenge format, as does the second course run in Nationals

  • - Athletes will have the opportunity to run the course once, with two retry attempts allowed throughout their attempt.
  • - However, if an athlete fails an obstacle, they will only be allowed to use one retry attempt on that particular obstacle.
  • - An athlete’s overall time on the course is measured, accounting for any pauses taken during retry attempts. The course will be reset for each retry attempt, and the timer will be paused during reset. Once the ref gives their countdown (signalling the course is reset) the timer resumes, ensuring a fair and consistent experience for all runners.
  • - The course is designed with obstacles that require skill and strategy to navigate, and the challenge is heightened by the limited number of retry attempts.
p>Flow Course

The first course in the Nationals will follow Flow format.

  • - Flow Courses are all about perfection! Once an athlete fall off an obstacle that is it!
  • In this format athletes are ranked by the number of obstacles they complete in sucession.
  • If multiple athletes are tied for the same number obstacles in succession the athlete who was to complete those obstacles faster will be ranked higher!

Please see WNL Competition formats for more details.

Cash Prizes and Medals

Trophies/medals will be distributed across all divisions. A cash prize will be awared to the male and female elite division winners. Exact amounts will be based on number of athletes registered.
